Centennial book launch celebrates 100 years of inspiring education

On Wednesday January 17, 2007 faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education gathered together to celebrate the launch of the centennial book, titled Inspiring Education: Celebrating 100 Years of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.  The book commemorates 100 years of excellence in education, retracing the origins of OISE and its antecedents through pictures and stories.

OISE Dean Jane Gaskell and Anne Millar, Chair of the 100th anniversary publication sub-committee formally welcomed guests. Each spoke of the excitement and pride associated with the book and with the Centennial.  Among those who attended the event were several of the book's contributors, many of whom appear in the photos posted here.    More photos to appear soon!
